The software will check to see if there are any updates to the driver & software.When the connection is successfully established to your wire-less network, the Power & Wi-Fi lamps will stop flashing & remain lit.The blue Wi-Fi lamp on the printer will continue to ash while searching, & the Power & Wi-Fi lamps will flash when connecting to the access point.Press the WPS button on the wire-less router within 2 minutes.Ensure that the ON lamp (E) & the wire-less lamp flash.Press the Wireless button until the direct lamp (D) lights up.Press & hold the Wireless button (A) on the printer until the wire-less lamp (B) flashes.

The issue may be caused by using the USB 3.0 connection on a Windows 8, 8.1, or Windows 10 computer. Try a different USB cable that's directly connected to the Brother machine and the computer. Unplug and then re-plug the USB cable on both ends. The cable may fit in another port but will not work. If your machine has more than one port, make sure that the cable is connected to the USB interface port indicated by the following symbol. Disconnect from any hubs or docking stations and connect directly to the computer. Type A/B 1.1 or 2.0 USB cable. Don't use any adapters or extensions. Make sure the USB cable meets the recommended specifications and connections listed below.
